 With
granite, polishing is not always the last word. It is a material that
lends itself to being bush hammered, broken,
pointed, chiseled and then worn away in areas; or simply sanded just to
the point of getting the color to "rise".It is up to the artist
to remain open minded about what is possible in a collaborative effort.
Accumulated experience in enlarging innumerable works
of varied genre has given the artisans the capacity to be of great assistance
in helping the artist to transform a model into a work of art and resolving
technical as well as aesthetic problems together.
